Tech Valley Global Business Network

The focus of the Tech Valley Global Business Network  is to assist any Capital Region organization or individual interested in learning more about global business.

This partnership, which includes the Chamber of Schenectady County, the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County and the Center for Economic Growth (CEG), aligns all of the premier economic development organizations in the area around the single issue of helping educate and provide networking opportunities for area companies interested in global trade.

Membership is available to all members of the four area chambers and the CEG. Members include manufacturers, service providers, as well as educators and economic developers.

Over the years, the Tech Valley Global BusinessNetwork (formerly known as the Global Business Network) has provided practical guidance on such topics as the ins and outs of importing/exporting, setting up foreign entities, identifying markets for various products and international tax planning.

There is also annual awards dinner when “Globies” are handed out to area businesses that demonstrate global trade best practices.
